How do I charge for additional guests, pets, or vehicles for a specific site type?

If you are wanting to charge for additional guests, pets or vehicles for the whole campground, you can read more on how to do so here

*Please note, the following fields will show as "reservation extras" on reports.

If you want to charge for additional guests, pets, or vehicles for a specific site, you can do so by first going into your campground settings, to the site types tab, clicking into the site type you would like to add the charges for and then scrolling to the "extras" section.

*Please note the fine print below "extras," you can override property wide settings. Meaning, if you charge for more than 4 adults for all sites, but for your cabin sites, you want to charge for more than 2 adults, you can do so by setting it here.

Also, when setting additional charges at the site-type level, you cannot combine adults and children like you can at the property level.

Then for each option, you will have a couple options for how you want to charge. By clicking into the field that states "compare function" a drop down menu will appear with three options "greater-than," "equals-to," and "less-than."

Greater-than: Any more than the number entered in the next field will be charged "$x.xx" per night.

Example: Below you can see I have greater-than 2 pets, $15.00 per night. Therefore, if John Doe brings 3 pets and stays for 2 nights, he will be charged $30.00, which is $15.00 for the two nights for the one additional pet.

Equals-to: Any number that equals the number entered in the field will be charged "$x.xx" per night.

Example: Below you can see I have equals-to 1 child, $10.00 per night. Therefore if Sally brings 1 child and stays for 3 nights, she will be charged $30.00, which is $10.00 for the three nights for bringing at least one child.

*Please note, that if a camper brings more than the set equals to, they will not be charged anything additional. Equals to is best used when wanting to charge for someone bringing less than the minimum amount of people. Note the difference in the two screenshots below, when changing the amount of children during a manual reservation.

Less-than: Any number than is less than the number entered in the field will be charged "$x.xx" per night.

Example: Below you can see I have less-than 3 adults, $5.00 per night. Therefore, if Jane Doe brings 2 adults and stays for 2 nights, she will be charged $10.00, which is equal to the two nights is bringing less than the set amount of adults.

To charge additional for vehicles, you scroll a little farther on the reservations tab to find the vehicles section.

This is also where you can set the maximum number of vehicles. *Please note the fine print below the maximum field that states, employees can still book manual reservations with a higher number of vehicles.

The vehicle section has all the same fields as occupants and pets, "greater-than," "equal-to," and "less-than."

*Be sure to scroll down and hit save at the bottom of the page after any changes are made!
