2.0: Settings Configuration - Reservations by Request
You can manage your reservations by request if you do not wish to allow instant bookings.
When a guest submits a Booking Request, you will have up to 72 hours to accept or deny it. During this time, the request will hold a spot on your dashboard until you take action. If no action is taken within 72 hours, the request will automatically expire and become an Expired Reservation.
To receive Booking Requests, toggle the button next to "Allow Instant Bookings" on the Reservations Settings page to the off position.
The first place to find Booking Requests is on your dashboard. Any reservation that requires review will appear orange.
Click on the reservation to open the Reservation Snapshot, where you can see the status of the booking.
From here, click "Reservation Details" to open the full reservation. At the top, it will still be listed as a Booking Request, and you will have the option to Accept or Deny it.
After accepting a request, the reservation will show as Booked and appear light blue on your dashboard. To learn about what each status means click here.
Booked or "Accepted" Reservations will now show as light blue on your dashboard:
If you decline a request, the Decline Reservation page will appear with an automated message for the guest. You can edit this message before clicking Decline. Declined reservations will no longer appear on your dashboard but can be viewed under the Reservations tab if needed. Click here on how to find reservations via reservations tab.
After you decline the Booking Request, the reservation will now show as "Declined":
Declined reservations will no longer appear on your dashboard, but you can still view them anytime under the Reservations tab if needed
In addition to the Dashboard, you can also find your Booking Requests under the Reservations tab. You can open the Booking Request from here and follow the same steps to Accept/Deny:
