How can I limit total occupancy for a site type?

You can control the total number of guests (adults + children) that can stay in a site type by setting a Total Occupancy limit. This ensures that only reservations within your defined capacity can be booked.

To set or change the Total Occupancy on a Site Type, first click to go to Campground Settings and then click Site Types & Sites on the right menu.

This shows the Site Types. Click on the Site Type to set the Total Occupancy on.

When in the Site Type, scroll down to Guest Limits & Extra fees section. Here you'll find the settings for occupancy:

Enter the maximum number of guests (adults + children combined) allowed for the site type in the Total Occupancy field.

🔑 Key Points on Setting Guest Limits:

  • Total Occupancy should be set to the maximum adults + children combined allowed.
  • The maximum limit for adults and children cannot exceed the total occupancy set.
  • The maximum limit for adults and children doesn't need to be the same as the Total Occupancy.

🔎 How occupancy limits affect search and booking:

  • Guests can only book sites or site types that fit their party size.
  • At least 1 adult is required for every reservation (reservations cannot be for children only).
  • Total Occupancy is enforced in both the Manager Portal and Guest Portal.
    • If a party exceeds the set limit, that site type and/or sites assigned to that site type will not appear in search or be bookable.
