How to Set Property Open & Closed Dates

You can control when your campground is open or closed for reservations directly in Reservation Settings. By default, your property is set to be open year-round, so you will only need to adjust these settings if you operate seasonally or need to temporarily close your campground.

First, navigate to Reservation Settings and remain on the Settings tab. In the Property Dates section, click inside the Dates field and select the calendar icon to open the date picker.

From the calendar, choose the start and end dates your property will be closed. Once selected, click the green Block to Receive Reservations button. Finally, click Save in the bottom right corner of the page to apply your changes. After saving, guests will no longer be able to begin new reservations during those blocked dates.

How Block Periods Work

Block periods prevent new stays from starting on those dates. Guests will not be able to select a blocked date as their check-in day.

However, if a guest is already staying at your campground and their reservation began during your open season, they may still check out on a blocked date. Blocking a date does not cancel or shorten existing reservations. It only controls when new stays can begin.

In the example shown above, the campground has two block periods set:

Pre-Season Block: 01/01 – 05/31

This means guests cannot begin a stay between January 1 and May 31. The first available check-in date for the year would be June 1, which matches the campground’s Opening Date.

Post-Season Block: 10/01 – 12/31

This means guests cannot begin a stay on or after October 1. The last available check-in date would be September 30, allowing guests to stay through the end of the operating season.

When setting your own seasonal dates, your Pre-Season Block should run from January 1 through the day before your Opening Date. Your Post-Season Block should begin on your Closing Date and run through December 31.

Important: A block prevents new stays from starting on those dates. If your season ends on a specific date, that date should be the first day of your Post-Season Block to ensure no new stays begin once you have closed for the year. Guests who are already staying may still check out on a blocked date, as long as their reservation began during your open season.

Year-Agnostic Setting

Property dates are year agnostic. Once set, these block periods will automatically apply to future years unless they are manually updated.
