How to Structure Existing Reservations

When a campground has entered the implementation process with the Good Sam Booking platform, a crucial piece is making sure to upload all of their upcoming reservations before they begin accepting online reservations. To expedite this process, we use a spreadsheet to list out each individual guest's reservation and then upload them off of this spreadsheet and into the Good Sam Booking platform. By using this process, we are able to eliminate the need to manually enter each reservation into the system, thus saving time in the implementation process; however there are a few formatting pieces to keep in mind when combing through an existing reservations spreadsheet before upload:

  • Every reservation must have a minimum of: Guest first and last name, check in/out dates, site name (verbatim to the name in the system).
    • The more information the better, but this is the minimum amount we can use for upload
  • No reservations are able to have overlapping dates in the same site - i.e. no double bookings.
  • The site must be in the system for a reservation to be uploaded into it.
