2.0: How to Cancel a Reservation

You are able to cancel a reservation while viewing it.

Once you are in the reservation, in the upper right click the drop down with "Make Changes:"


Select the "Cancel" option:


This will slide out the Cancel Reservation window. Select a reason and confirm the Cancellation Fee.


The cancellation fee that defaults is preset in your settings. Click here for an article on setting up default cancellation fees.


If you want to change the fee, click on the "Edit" button.

Enter the fee you want to charge and click the check to set that as the cancellation fee.

If the guest paid more than the cancellation fee, the platform will display the refund amount that would be due. In the screenshot below, please note that this section is not prompting a refund — it is simply showing what the refund would be based on the current reservation details.


Click "Cancel Reservation" to complete the cancellation process and have a fee added if you added one.



The reservation shows as CANCELED and no longer shows on the dashboard.


If a refund is due to the guest, you will need to process that refund separately. For more information on how to refund a guest please click this link: How to refund. The refund step is a second process as shown in the image below.
