Platform 2.0 - Balance by Date Range Report

The Balance Report gives you a breakdown of all payment transactions during a selected time period. It’s especially useful for reconciling revenue, tracking refunds, and reviewing fees from Stripe payments.


🧭 How to Access It


  • Click Reports from the left menu.
  • Select the Balance box.


  • When the detailed Balance by Date Range Report opens, it uses the Date Range filter from Reports. Once in the detailed report, you may change the date range to a wider window.



📊 What You’ll See


This report includes at the top summary level:

  • Balance: This is the total payments collected minus any refunds within selected date range.
  • Refund: Total refunds within the selected date range.

    Breakdown of payment methods:

    • Stripe payments (create and debit card payments processed through Stripe as well as payments via Stripe link)
    • Cash
    • Taken offline 

Following totals at top, each payment/refund transaction will be listed. Each entry shows:

  • Transaction: Date and Timestamp of transaction
  • Payment/Refund: Payment amount collected or refunded for the transaction
  • Stripe fee: Shows the Stripe fee charged for payment processed through Stripe
  • Source: Details who made the payment or refund (staff name or guest portal)
  • Stripe Charge ID: Provides the Stripe Charge ID for Stripe payment or refund to reconcile back with your Stripe account
  • Type: Shows if payment or refund was for a Reservation or Order
  • ID: Reservation or Order ID. This is clickable and opens the reservation or order in another tab.
  • Check-In: Check in date of reservation if reservation payment or refund
  • Guest: Guest contact information and name. Hover over the icons to see or copy information.

💡 You can use the Stripe Charge ID to match transactions in your Stripe account for faster reconciliation.


📥 Download for Full Detail


Click the Export button to download a CSV file of the current report. The export includes all information detailed on the screen.


You may open the CSV file in your preferred spreadsheet application such as Excel, Google Sheets, or Apple Numbers.



File naming convention:


The file will always start with "report_balance-by-date_from" with the date range pulled and the date and time the report was pulled.


For example:

report_balance-by-date_from_2025-06-01_to_2025-06-17_at_20250617T103920-04_00.csv




⚠️ When opening exported file, it is best not to Convert any fields if prompted.
